Guidelines
The short-cycle training course on thermal analysis in material science is a new curriculum component in higher education. The short-cycle course is designed for approximately 120 hours students’ engagement, emphasising active learning, and provides opportunities for Universities to broaden the range of educational experiences they offer in thermal analysis. Short-cycle course should be developed by teachers to suit the specific needs and interests of their students in the specific field.
1. Setup the Educational standards, the learning goals for what students should know and be able to do.
2. Specify and outline the appropriate learning to achieve the educational standards.
3. Define study resources which will include a Resource Book and a Tutor’s Guide.
a. Resource book: prepared by a knowledgeable scholar
b. Tutor’s guide: prepared by educators who are able to translate the contents of the Resource Book into manageable module plans that can be implemented by committed tutors.
4. Develop a European Learning Portfolio, for academic learners and professional trainees, who participating in any of the above-cited learning activities to codify their qualifications concerning knowledge and skills, and individually design future steps.
